We will be at Chengdu from April 7 to 9, hopefully it's not postponed again.
The fair was supposed to be held on March but Sichuan province decided on January 27 to ban large (and sales oriented) gatherings until March 31. This decision is part of the precautionary measures following the discovery of small Covid19 clusters.
Indeed, Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, reported 19 asymptomatic imported cases in early February.
The 104th edition of Chengdu Wine and Spirits Fair will take place two weeks later from April 7 to 9 instead of March 25-27. According to the organizers, the fair will have a larger exhibition space, and will be the biggest edition since its creation in 1995. The fair welcome on average 150 000 trade visitors each year and generate around RMB 20 billion (US$3.17 billion) in sales.
